I was born in Chester in 1953, and grew up there. I have always had and interested in Art & Design, and from school went to college and completed a diploma in graphic design, before going on to study photography in Liverpool Poly.

My interest for design led me into mechanical engineering, and I traveled south in 1974, where I attended Guildford University to study Structural/Civil Engineering.

I believe everyone suffers with a degree of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which can take many forms. In engineering I have been able to use mine to an advantage, seeking perfection, but it can also be debilating.

Traveling gave me an interest in coffee, and this has inspired this collection of paintings. I also see these paintings of landscapes - the Cafe Latte, dark in the foreground, misty distant mountains behind.

Art distracts and takes me away from my problems, and puts me in a different world.

The beauty of Art is you can go wherever you want to go
