I use art every single day of my life,
I make it, breathe it, and live it,
Art is a good friend of mine.
Sometimes I see creativity as a vast ocean,
Upon which like a bottle with a message, I travel
Seeking a sure/shore.
Som etimes art is pure/ fluid and flowing, into which we dive for pearls, by the light of the moon.
Art will always reminded us of where we are from, art gives us glimpses of where we are going, and above all, art helps to explain and make sense of where we are now.
Art is open never closed, and art sets us free.

“Creativity is a basic instinct, and that the releasing of creativity and creative energy is essential for mental health” Jung,C.G.
Art has a valuable part to play in social inclusion, and connects and enriches our community; it is integral to the “wholeness”
Of our wellbeing, incircling care of our community.
We create our sand mandalas within communties, at gatherings.
People with or without mental health experiences work together, creatively with the shared outcome, the completion of the mandala, and perhaps prompting a little debate along the way.
Art allows us to rediscover pathways that lead back to the centre of our wellbeing and recovery.
I am currently producing a series of wood block prints, exploring iconic images and portraits.
Themes such as vanity, hope, patience, faith and avarice, are narratives I am currently using, inspired by an Italian illuminated manuscript from Naples c.1480 by Giovanni Marco Cinico.
These themes are then fused with pop icons, youth movements/culture, and disco divas angels, saints and sinners.
